Peter Benchley's Brown Fur Felt Fedora - Brown fur felt fedora with a high, pinched crown and two metal-rimmed ventilation eyelets on each side. A multi-layered cream-colored fabric band, designed in a style similar to a puggaree, encircles the base of the crown. The interior contains a dark brown leather or synthetic sweatband with coarse, visible stitching. Unsigned. 4 3/4” H x 11 1/2” W x 12” D. Interior opening 8” x 6 3/4”. From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
