Thomas Hoyne Offset Lithograph Race of the Elsies - Thomas M. Hoyne (American, 1924-1989). Offset lithograph, Race of the Elsies, 1980. The maritime scene shows the schooners Elsie G. Silva and Elsie racing through choppy, wind-swept waters in 1924. The work is pencil-signed Thomas Hoyne in the lower right margin and numbered 514/780. The lower margin is printed with the title and explanatory text identifying the subject and artist, while a printed signature and copyright date of 1978 appear in the lower left of the image.
