MCA Jaws Newsprint Wall Street Journal Promotional Advertisement - MCA promotional newsprint advertisement for Jaws (Universal, 1975), published in the July 10, 1975 edition of The Wall Street Journal. The full-page layout, titled IT'S A MOVIE, TOO!, features Roger Kastel's (American, 1938-2023) theatrical poster art at center, surrounded by ten contemporary editorial cartoons commenting on the film's cultural impact by artists including McLeod, King, Hubenthal, Marlette, Herblock, MacNelly, Ficklen, Rosen, Conrad, and Renault. The piece was formerly displayed in author Peter Benchley's personal office, and bears a faint pencil inscription ”Peter” in the upper left corner. The newsprint is mounted to a 1/8-inch thick foam board. 21 3/4” H x 14 1/2” W x 1/8” D.
