Pencil-signed on the lower right mat. Housed in a silver-plated frame under glass. The verso bears a gallery label for Cranbury Station Gallery. Frame: 16” H x 20” W x 1” D. A personal note from Wendy Benchley: “David Doubilet and Peter were close friends and went on numerous National Geographic expeditions together. Peter greatly admired David’s superb talent with a camera and with words. David was a splendid writer.” From the personal collection of Peter Benchley (American, 1940–2006), acclaimed author of Jaws, accomplished diver, and prominent advocate for ocean and shark conservation.
