Jacobean Carved Oak Coffer - Jacobean joined oak three-panel coffer, late 17th or early 18th century. Constructed of dark-stained oak using mortise and tenon joints, the chest displays a frame-and-panel design. The interior retains a small wooden till box on the left side. Hardware consists of two iron strap hinges and an iron lock plate. The central front panel is carved with a monogram. 23” H x 51” W x 20 1/2” D. From the Woodstock, New York estate of music manager Albert Grossman, best known for managing artists including Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Band, and Peter, Paul and Mary.
