The rectangular case features a top with overhanging edges above a configuration of two side-by-side small drawers over a single full-width drawer, all set above a large fixed lower panel. The chest is finished in a heavily weathered red lacquer that exposes the underlying wood grain and highlights the hand-crafted nature of the piece. A white adhesive label inside one drawer reads Origin: China / 37974 / Mohr & McPherson. 31” H x 36” W x 16” D.
