American Country Primitive Pine Blanket Chest - American country primitive six-board blanket chest constructed primarily of pine with a dark reddish-brown stained finish. The chest features hand-dovetailed corner joinery and a lid with a rounded front edge. The interior contains a small storage till on the right side, which includes a hinged lid and a decorative scalloped apron underneath. The lid is supported by two long black-finished iron strap hinges mounted to the interior. Wrought iron bail handles with heart-shaped backplates are mounted to each side, and the front has a central keyhole. The chest sits on a tiered, stepped molded base. No key is present with the lot. 16” H x 54” W x 18 1/2” D.
