M. Stephen Screenprint Poster Bird - M. Stephen (20th Century). Screenprint, Bird. Whimsical mid-century graphic work featuring a stylized red and white bird centered in a yellow oval, flanked by the word Bird repeated in various calligraphic scripts. The work is executed on a cream-toned sheet and housed in a simple light-finish wood frame with a brown mat. The verso retains a brown paper backing with a black ink stamp from Shelburne Furniture Co. and Plymouth Furniture Co. of Newark, New Jersey. Pencil signed M. Stephen in the lower right margin. Sight: 22 1/2 x 17 1/2 in. Frame: 28 1/2 x 24 1/2 in. From the Woodstock, New York estate of music manager Albert Grossman, best known for managing artists including Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Band, and Peter, Paul and Mary.
