Boyd Oil on Board Trees at the Ashokan - Boyd (20th Century). Oil on board, Trees at the Ashokan, 1988. The landscape shows silhouetted tree forms against an orange and indigo sky. The work is housed in a silver-plated frame with a linen-textured mat. Signed and dated Boyd 9/88 on the verso. The reverse side of the board is inscribed with Roman numerals VII and VIII, and the top frame rail is inscribed with the title Trees at the Ashokan by Boyd. Sight: 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 in. Frame: 13 1/2 x 16 1/2 in. From the Woodstock, New York estate of music manager Albert Grossman, best known for managing artists including Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Band, and Peter, Paul and Mary.
