Nellie Melba Autographed Reutlinger Paris Promotional Photograph - Nellie Melba (Australian, 1861-1931). Autographed promotional photograph featuring a profile portrait of the renowned operatic soprano. The period silver gelatin print was produced by the Reutlinger studio in Paris and published by the Rotary Photo Company. A bold signature in ink with a decorative flourish is present along the bottom edge, crossing over the lower portion of the subject's portrait. The photograph is professionally housed in a gilt-finished wooden frame with a beaded inner border and double matting in yellow and red. The frame features a traditional metallic gold-toned finish with a pattern of recessed beads along the inner lip. The double matting consists of a wide yellow top mat accented by a narrow red inner border. The verso is sealed with brown paper and fitted with a hanging wire.
