The group includes portraits of Jimmy Carter (American, born 1924), Colin Powell (American, 1937-2021), Madeleine Albright (American, 1937-2022), Dean Rusk (American, 1909-1994), and Dan Quayle (American, born 1947). The astronaut collection features John Glenn (American, 1921-2016), Marc Garneau (Canadian, born 1949), Joe F. Edwards, Jr. (American, born 1958), Dominic Pudwill Gorie (American, born 1957), James H. Newman (American, born 1956), and Stephen N. Frick (American, born 1964). The collection comprises color and black-and-white portraits, including official NASA mission photographs with printed mission data and biographical summaries on the verso. The James H. Newman portrait bears two adhesive labels for launch guests on the verso.
