Renaissance Revival Carved Mahogany Daybed - Renaissance Revival carved mahogany daybed, late 19th century. Includes current mattress and box spring. The frame features a three-quarter width sleigh-profile with head and footboards inset with floral tapestry panels. The upholstery displays a repeating bouquet and scrollwork motif on a cream ground, finished with decorative braid trim on both interior and exterior surfaces. Extensive high-relief carvings ornament the piece, including prominent mascaron heads with elongated facial hair atop each corner post. The side rails and plinth bases are further decorated with foliate scrollwork. The entire frame is supported by small metal castors. 44 1/2” H x 52” W x 83 1/2” L.
