Myra Hess Autograph Letter Signed and Photograph Framed Display - Myra Hess (British, 1890-1965). Autograph letter signed and black-and-white photograph framed display. The single-page handwritten note is executed on light blue stationery with printed letterhead for 48 Wildwood Road, N.W.11., and is dated June 5, 1951. The text concerns a request for programs from a performance at the Pump Room in Bath and remarks on the quality of the audience. A profile portrait photograph of the pianist is mounted alongside the letter. The display is professionally mounted in a black mat featuring silver-plated inner borders. A window on the verso reveals the original handwritten mailing envelope addressed to Arthur A. Lewis at the Pump Room in Bath, bearing a Golders Green postmark dated June 5, 1951, and an orange King George VI 2d postage stamp.
