Japanese Carved Wood Opium Pipe with Matching Container - This Japanese opium pipe features a long stem composed of nine carved, reddish-orange beads. Each bead is hand-carved with stylized motifs that appear to be calligraphic or floral in nature. The pipe's bowl is constructed from dark-stained wood, heavily decorated with applied brass and copper plates featuring circular and serrated sunburst designs. The bowl itself contains a small white metal insert. The mouthpiece is a simple, tapered brass tube.
