Victor Moscoso Neon Rose NR-3 Big Brother and the Holding Company Featuring Janis Joplin Concert Poster, 1967 - Victor Moscoso (Spanish-American, b. 1936). This original 1967 psychedelic concert poster was designed by artist Victor Moscoso for a series of performances by Big Brother and the Holding Company at The Matrix in San Francisco. Part of the iconic Neon Rose series and designated as NR-3, the poster features a solarized group photograph of the band, including lead singer Janis Joplin, taken by Lisa Bachelis. The bottom left margin is marked © 1967 NEON ROSE and Photo: LISA BACHELIS. A printed script signature reading moscoso is located in the bottom right margin. The left border contains the text BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING COMPANY, while the right border reads JAN 17 TUES - JAN 22 SUN · MATRIX · SAN FRANCISCO and 3138 FILLMORE · 567-3118 in smaller type. The bottom center border is marked MINORS WELCOME. The reverse of the poster features a circular green ink distributor stamp that reads DISTRIBUTED BY PETER T. GELLER P.O.
