McIntosh Model C26 Solid State Stereo Preamplifier - McIntosh Model C26 solid state stereo preamplifier, serial number 51P71. The unit features a black glass faceplate with silver-toned rotary knobs for input selection, mode, volume, loudness, balance, bass, and treble. The lower portion of the faceplate includes push-button switches for tape 1 and tape 2 monitoring, low-frequency and high-frequency filters, and main and remote speaker outputs. It is equipped with a front-facing headphone jack and Panloc buttons. The top of the metal chassis is printed with a white block diagram and technical specifications, and contains two recessed rotary knobs for phase control and center channel level. The rear panel provides numerous RCA inputs for Aux, Tape 1, Tape 2, Tuner, Phono 1, and Phono 2, along with outputs for Main, Tape 1, Tape 2, and Center Channel. Additionally, the rear features terminal strips for amplifier and speaker connections, a ground post, a fuse holder for a 0.5 amp fuse, and five AC outlets, including four switched and one unswitched.
