25 New Wave, Synth-pop, and Progressive Rock Vinyl LP Records - From the Woodstock, New York estate of music manager Albert Grossman, best known for managing artists including Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Band, and Peter, Paul and Mary. Collection of 25 vintage 12-inch vinyl LP records from the late 1970s through the 1980s, primarily encompassing New Wave, Synth-pop, Progressive Rock, and Alternative genres. The lot includes major releases and promotional pressings on labels such as Sire, Atlantic, Warner Bros., Mirage, Mute, and Albion. Notable artist and title inclusions feature Depeche Mode with seven records, including two copies of Speak & Spell, A Broken Frame, Construction Time Again, Some Great Reward, People Are People, and Catching Up with Depeche Mode. Emerson, Lake & Palmer titles include seven records featuring two copies of Works Volume 1, Works Volume 2, Trilogy, Welcome Back My Friends to the Show That Never Ends, The Best of Emerson Lake & Palmer, and Pictures at an Exhibition. The dB's are represented by four records including two copies of Repercussion, Stands for Decibels, and Like This. Other artists include Soft Cell (Non-Stop Ecstatic Dancing and This Last Night In Sodom), Talking Heads (Stop Making Sense), Devo (New Traditionalists with bonus single sticker), The Cars (Shake It Up), Jean-Michel Jarre (Les Chants Magnétiques), and System X-Periment (self-titled). A significant portion of the collection consists of promotional copies identified by gold foil stamps on the jackets. Several jackets remain in their original factory shrink-wrap.
