A Pair of Sevres Style Cobalt Blue Hand-Painted Porcelain Vases Signed Eug Carel - A pair of tapered ovoid porcelain vases featuring short, narrow necks and gilded rims. These Sevres-style vases are decorated with a deep cobalt blue ground and elaborate raised gilded scrollwork and foliate accents. Each vase displays a central hand-painted cartouche depicting a courting couple in 18th-century Rococo-style attire within a garden landscape. The reverse of each vase is ornamented with a gilded floral spray. The painted scenes are signed Eug Carel at the lower right. Marked on the underside of the base. 9 1/2” H x 4” W x 4” D.
