A Pair of Framed Hand-Colored Botanical Engravings from Johann Wilhelm Weinmann Phytanthoza Iconographia - A pair of framed natural history prints consisting of hand-colored engravings from Johann Wilhelm Weinmann's 18th-century work, Phytanthoza Iconographia (1737-1745). The first print, identified as Plate 806, depicts a Beta Nigra (Red Mangold or Chard) plant. The second print, Plate 428, is a marine specimen study featuring Corallina Spinosa (spiny coral) and a detailed shell. Both prints are float-mounted on antique laid paper between two panels of glass, housed within contemporary light-toned wood frames.
