12 Hand Painted Porcelain Portrait Plates Featuring Napoleon and Josephine Signed E. Furlaud - A set of twelve hand-painted porcelain cabinet plates. Each plate features a central portrait depicting either Napoleon I in military uniform or Empress Josephine in royal attire, set against a dark burgundy circular ground. The portraits are hand-signed E. Furlaud in the lower right area. The plates are designed with a wide teal-green border adorned with gilded floral and foliate scrollwork. Four circular vignettes depicting various women in period costume are interspersed within the border decoration. The plates have scalloped edges finished with a gilded band.
