The rectangular top features a diamond-pattern marquetry veneer surrounded by a pierced gilt-metal gallery. The frieze is decorated with ten inset circular porcelain plaques, each depicting hand-painted romantic couples in pastoral settings within ornate gilt-metal foliate frames. The table includes two drawers with book-matched marquetry veneers and gilt-metal drop-handle pulls, constructed with dovetail joinery.
