Carved Alabaster Pedestal Column with Solomonic and Fluted Shaft - A carved alabaster pedestal column featuring a multi-part decorative shaft. The upper portion of the shaft is carved with a spiral-twist Solomonic design, while the lower portion features vertical fluting. A central horizontal band separates these sections, decorated with a continuous Greek key meander motif. The column is topped with an octagonal platform above a capital with ringed moldings. The base consists of a stepped circular form supported by an octagonal plinth. The alabaster displays characteristic translucent properties with natural grey and brown internal veining. 40” H x 9” W x 9” D.
