Large French Gilt Bronze Mounted Cobalt Blue Porcelain Amphora Vase - A large French porcelain amphora vase featuring a cobalt blue ground and ornate gilt bronze ormolu mounts. The ovoid body is flanked by twin gilt bronze handles modeled as classical female caryatids holding laurel wreath ring loops. The piece is supported by a shaped, four-footed gilt bronze plinth base decorated with scrolling and foliate motifs. The porcelain body is embellished with hand-painted gilt foliate scrolls, floral sprays, and geometric borders. Two central oval reserves are framed with raised, jeweled white enamel beading.
