Bottom of bowl has perforated low relief, oval spiral design typical of Murik According to Ledoux's field notebook ”collection” (lot 110) these plates or bowls are made of Baet wood. Similiar item donated by Louis Pierre Ledoux to The American Museum of Natural History - Division of Anthropology in 1936.
