A ”Pocahontas” Original Background with Recreated Cel. - (Disney, 1995) An original production background with a recreated cel from ”Pocahontas” depicting John Smith rescuing Thomas after he is washed overboard. This cel was hand-painted from original animation drawings by the Disney Ink and Paint Department to pair with the production background painting for sale in Sotheby's Art of Pocahontas auction in February of 1996. Measuring 11” x 16.5” visible and 20.5” x 25.75” matted and framed overall, the cel and background are in very good production-used condition, while the frame and glazing exhibit scuffing, scrapes and adhesive residue.
