A ”Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” Deleted Scene Original Production Cel and Background. - (Disney, 1937) A very rare setup featuring a production cel of Snow White with its matching production background from ”Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” The setup is from a scene that was fully animated, but removed from the final edit of the film. This ”lost scene” is well covered in the documentary ”Snow White: The Making of a Masterpiece, ” which states, ”The Bedroom Fight is one of the few examples of a section that was completely animated for the final film, but was removed. Apparently the dwarfs' argument over letting Snow White stay with them went on too long.” In this frame of action, Snow White turns from the dwarfs in disagreement, saying, ”I'm not afraid of the dark woods at night...and the goblins!” This exact setup is shown in the documentary which describes it as ”one of the few surviving color examples” of this lost Snow White scene. This rare artifact from Walt's first masterpiece measures 21.5” x 24” framed with the image measuring 10” x 12.5” through the matte opening. The cel is in fine condition and is trimmed and applied to the background as it was originally prepared by the Studio for sale at the Courvoisier Galleries, and still has the original Courvoisier label on the reverse.
