A James Stewart ”How the West Was Won” Title Credit. - (MGM, 1962) An original James Stewart opening title credit from ”How the West Was Won.” Along with Jimmy Stewart, the star-studded cast included Henry Fonda, Karl Malden, Debbie Reynolds, and John Wayne. Although very similar to the screen-used credit, the production ultimately opted for an alternate version where Stewart's first and last names were stacked. Accomplished in enamel on glass, the hand-painted title has been matted and framed with a color reproduction background. With an image size of 18.25” x 28.25” in a 23.25” x 33.5” frame, the piece is in very good condition with spots of paint loss, paint cracks, and scratches. The frame displays in good condition with scratches, scuffs, and wear. This item requires special shipping arrangements. Please inquire before bidding.
