Five novels and six poetry collections made by him saw the light. He also published hundreds of poems, novels and essays in several magazines. In addition a lot of work remained unpublished; plays, novels, poems and essays. Between 1933 and 1941 he was part of the editors of Volk en Vaderland, the weekly magazine of the National Socialist Movement in The Netherlands (NSB). For a long time he occupied the position of editor-in-chief.
