3 Reich - Slovakian HZ David Star For Slovakian Jews RR
We offer an ultra rare version of the star of David that Jews within III Reich and other occupied lands by Nazis, must worn to get identified. In this case is the ultra scarce Slovakian miniature version that was made in thermoplastic! This one is made in yellow thermoplastic and it is labeled HZ, which means Hospodarsky Zid - Economic Jew. On the reverse, needle system is working perfectly. We can also see the maker mark "Futurit" and a serial number in relief. Almost 70000 Slovakian Jews were murdered during the war following Nazi final solution. Finding an example like this is almost impossible! We write some accurate information about this very rare artifact.Futurit - a light plastic for a difficult future. In order to understand what Futurit is, it is important to get acquainted with the basic facts. In 1911, Egon Bondy (1875 -1934) founded the Gummon Plant in Mlynsky Nivy in Bratislava under the Cable Factory. At that time, the production and processing of plastics was in its infancy in the world. In 1918, Gummon bought a license for the production of bakelite according to the patents of prof. Backerland from Bakelit Gesellschaft Berlin. They called the special recipe Futurit and all the moldings had their own number and inscription of the same name. The assortment gradually expanded. From electrical components, lamps, lighters, cups, coasters to promotional items, snuff boxes, ashtrays, scales, cameras, cigarette cases, hammers, handles, steering wheels, turntable components (Primafon, Ultraphon) and radio cabinets (Tungsram).During the Slovak state, production also focused on badges. After nationalization in the late 1940s, badges for various occasions and radio cabinets for the new national company Tesla continued to be produced and until the end of the 1950s they were also marked on the back of the product with the word Futurit. Just before the establishment of the Slovak state, purges took place in the factories in positions on the board of directors of the participating companies and in management positions. For example, the Cable Factory through CEO Jozef Hack. January 1939 and on 9 February t. r. also through a member of the Board of Directors of Kornel Stodol, the Regional Court in Bratislava urged the speedy cancellation of the membership of the Board of Directors, Mr. Vilem Lang and the deletion of the power of attorney p. Nathan Blumgrund. Their Jewish faith was cited as the reason. "The appointed two members of the Board of Directors, resp. The directorates are of the Jewish faith. In the case of sensitive business dealings with German customers, we increasingly encounter the requirement for a certificate of the Aryan character of our company. However, if the appointed members are formally listed in the company register as members of the administration, despite the fact that they have not actually performed their functions for a long time, we cannot prove the Aryan card required by individual customers, which greatly damages our company. Shortly afterwards, the Cable Factory and the Gummon plant underwent radical personnel changes. The Austrian leadership, in which the Jews were also involved, had to give way to the Slovak one, and the persecution of the Jews continued in monstrous proportions. The factory owner Egon Bondy did not live to see the tragic events, but his daughters Anne Bondy and Margit (Grete) were deported to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, where they lost their lives in 1942. The family of the man who brought the substance of the future - Futurit - was murdered, while at that time the factory was still on Egon Bondy Street no. 9 and Futurit was treated as material of the new state.A small 3-centimeter badge in the shape of a Jewish star with embossed letters HZ (Economic Jew), intended for citizens of Jewish origin who were left in public and economic life as "Economically Important Jews", was also pressed from the yellow thermoplastic. The Trade Report and Balance Sheet for 1942, which states: Along with technical progress, we have carefully monitored the organization of human labor so that its use is as economical and dignified as possible. At the same time, we have made a sincere effort to alleviate the social concerns of our employees.Shipping from our office in Europe.
