Waffen-SS Helmet
German WWII Waffen-SS helmet manufactured by FW Quist, Esslingen and is marked Q66 (Quist, shell size 66cm). The steel heat lot number is T1206, located in the rear inner skirt. The finish is wartime applied. The decal is the Quist pattern SS shield and original to the helmet. The liner is in the reissue M40 configuration. The area around the decal appears to have been lightly buffed, possibly to clean or remove some overpaint.
