This Interim attila (the Interim attila was a daily use tunic and not worn for more formal affairs.) was to a Lieutenant. The tunic is a light blue wool with silver bullion tresses and trim. All of the magnificent silver tresses and frogging sport a tasty patina, as does the collar and cuff's tape. A total of ten (five to each side) rosette style buttons adorn the tunic frontand a single row of thre (two are unfortunately missing) sil barrel buttons run down the center of the Attila. It is of pre war quality, and I would date it to the period of 1900-1910... The tunic's reverse continues the same tresses theme as is on the front. Two additional barrel buttons adorn the vent area. The interior of the attila is a very heavy beige silk liner. With the weight of the wool exterior and the silk lining this is a very heavy tunic.
