The banner was funded by the society of Derby in Great Britain and presented it to the regiment on November 3, 1945.
On the shields - the image of Our Lady of Częstochowa, St. Barbara, the coat of arms of the city of Derby and the regiment's commemorative badge. Against a red background, the countries and dates of the military campaigns of the regiment.
Currently, the banner is exhibited at the Polish Institute and the Gen. Sikorski in London.
2nd Motor Artillery Regiment (2nd P.A.M.) - motor artillery division of the Polish Armed Forces in the West. In the summer of 1940, the Heavy Artillery Squadron of the Polish I Corps was formed in Scotland.
On the order of the Staff of the Commander-in-Chief, L.dz. 1057 / Tjn. Org. 43 of August 17, 1943, the 1st Armored Division was included in the 1st Armored Division and the 4th Division of the 1st Motor Artillery Regiment was incorporated into the 1st Armored Division as the 3rd Division. The process of taking over the IV / 1 pamot began on September 28, 1943, and ended on November 17 of that year with the signing of the protocol No. 1717/43 by the second deputy commanders of both regiments. From October 7, 1943, the soldiers of the regiment command and the 1st and 2nd squadrons appeared in berets and shoulder badges of the 1st Armored Division. On November 1, 1943, the former 1st Heavy Artillery Regiment was renamed the 2nd Motor Artillery Regiment. On November 24, 1943 the regiment moved from Haddington to Johnstone.
Józef Feliks Gawlina (born November 18, 1892 in Strzybnik, died September 21, 1964 in Rome) - Polish Roman Catholic priest , doctor of theological sciences, major general of the Polish Army, field bishop of the Polish Army in 1933–1947, spiritual guardian of Poles in exile in 1945–1964, archbishop ad personam from 1952.
