בידספיריט | Early Swastika Motif Pin Brooch
Early Swastika Motif Pin Brooch - A bar brooch with a swastika motif formed of small light-colored stones on a slender straight bar, The brooch bar shows a simple straight-bar form with catch and hinge fittings at either end. Before its adoption by the NSDAP, the swastika was widely used across Europe and North America from the late 19th century into the early 20th century as a decorative motif symbolising good luck, prosperity, or ancient heritage, appearing on jewellery, postcards, and trade goods. Such bar brooches were a common form of everyday costume jewellery in this period, worn without the political associations the symbol acquired after the 1920s. This example reflects that earlier, pre-Nazi usage rather than a specifically party-related artefact.
