NSDAP Golden Party Badge #6024 - NSDAP Golden Party badge for the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, with an oak leaf wreath surrounding a red, white, and black enamel roundel bearing the party swastika device and the encircling legend ”NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE D.A.P.” The reverse is marked ”GES. GESCH.” above a numbered impression reading ”6024”. Some enamel repair. The Golden Party Badge (Goldenes Parteiabzeichen) was the highest decoration the NSDAP could bestow, awarded primarily to early members holding party numbers below 100,000 or to individuals personally honored by Adolf Hitler for exceptional service to the movement. Numbered examples such as this were individually registered and issued in relatively small quantities, making them significant markers of seniority within the Nazi party hierarchy. Recipients often included longstanding Gauleiters, senior officials, and figures close to Hitler, and the badge was frequently presented on notable occasions such as anniversaries or party congresses.
