Adolf Hitler ‘KAMPFZEIT’ PERIOD ‘CHROMOLITHOGRAPH’ PORTRAIT - This hard to find original 220 x 290mm or 8-5/8 x 11-1/2 inch ‘Kampfzeit’ period portrait of Adolf Hitler from around 1930 is done on wood in what we believe the chromolithograph technique, where the printing is direct onto a piece of plywood and then sealed, probably using a heating process, giving the effect as if the portrait has been painted on wood. The back is plain wood without any surface treatment, causing a slight warp. There used to be a brass hanger at the top that got lost over time but can easily be replaced. The facial expression is amazing, and the picture draws you in. A rare early Third Reich artifact.
