The Ukrainian American Youth Association chapter in the Hudson Valley, N.Y., is pleased to announce that our auction Stand with Ukraine - Helping Orphans in War-Ravaged Ukraine is now open for bidding. Bid on one of several weekend getaways, original art, and much more! You DO NOT have to wait until Oct 1st to bid. Absentee bidding will end on Sunday, Oct. 1st at 12:00 PM EDT.
Additionally, on Sunday, Oct. 8th, we will be hosting an afternoon benefit event at Stonehill's in Accord, N.Y. Try some delicious Ukrainian foods, bid on items and gift certificates in our silent auction, and enjoy live music entertainment headlined by the one and only Natalie Merchant!
Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine over 17 months ago, the young members of the UAYA have also been focused on humanitarian aid by collecting donations of funds and much-needed items (medical supplies, tourniquets, diapers, formula, blankets, clothing, heaters, and so much more), which were packaged here in the Hudson Valley and shipped to Ukraine to be distributed on the front lines and to those most in need. With your help, we have been able to provide over half a million dollars worth of aid thus far!
100% of the proceeds from this online auction and the in-person event will be strictly used for humanitarian aid for orphans in the eastern part of the war-torn country.
