Kuntress of manuscript responsa by kabbalist Rav Avraham Meyuchas, author of Sadeh Ha'aretz, with his signature. Eretz Israel - 18th century.

Three responsa regarding monetary laws and teharas nashim, over 19 pages. Written and signed by Rav Avraham Bechar Shmuel Meyuchas, author of Sadeh Ha'aretz, a prestigious mekubel and talmid chacham in Eretz Yisrael. The first section of the kuntress discusses the question of ownership of money created through a miracle!

  • His signature appears at the end of the second question: הנלע"ד כתבתי הצעיר אברהם בכר שמואל
  • These responses were printed, with changes to the wording, in his Sadeh Ha'aretz, section three (Leghorn, 1788); hilchos shutfin, questions 5-6; hilchos niddah question 6.

Rav Avraham Becher Shmuel Meyuches [d. 1768] learned Torah from the Rishon LeZion, Rav Yisrael Meir Mizrachi, author of Pri Ha'aretz. Beset with troubles and suffering his whole life, he lost his sight at the age of 40.

His older brother, Rishon LeZion Rav Meyuches Becher Shmuel, author of Pri Ha'adamah, described him as, "A man that encompasses all; expert in niglah and nistar; fluent in halachah; divine kabbalist; humble like Hillel; divine and holy and holy from the womb; …ascetic, suffered terribly, but despite it all, did not leave the beis medrash for even an hour."
His letters were printed in the Sadeh Ha'aretz on the Torah, two sections; Sadeh Ha'aretz responsa (Salonica 1784-1798); Diglei Ahavah on the writings of Rav Chaim Vital and Maharam Poppers, three volumes (Yerushalayim, 2003).
