Hagaon Rav Yaakov Shor (5613-5684). Up until age 10 he learned Torah from his father, whereupon his father sent him to the home of Rav Yosef Shaul Nathanson- the 'Shoel Umeshiv'. There he was given semicha at the early age of 16, and from then on he considered Rav Nathanson as his Rav Muvhak. At his father's passing in 5656 he was appointed Rav of Kitev, and during the First World War fled to Vienna. A few years after his return to Kitev after the War's end, he fell ill and was bedridden until his passing on the 28th of Av, 5684.
At age 15! he began writing his sefer 'Beis Vaad Lachachamim', in which is apparent his outstanding breadth of knowledge in all of Chazal's works. Of his published writings: 'Divrei Yaakov' Responsa, 'Birkas Yaakov', 'Bai Chayey', 'Agados Yaakov', 'Ner Aruch', 'Mishnas Rebbe Yaakov' and others.
