Letter from the chassid Rav Yehudah Leib av"d Lipsk, author of Alufei Yehudah to the Netziv of Volozhin
Interesting letter written and signed by Rav Yehudah Leib (Segal) av"d Lipsk to the Rosh Yeshivah of Volozhin, Rav Naftali Tzvi Yehudah Berlin.
In the letter, he asks that a talmid of the Volozhin Yeshivah, Rav Moshe Reuven Horowitz, receive financial support from the Yeshivah's fund. He blesses the Netziv at the end of his letter,
"That he should immigrate to the holy land and live there for many days and years, per the request of one of the smallest of his talmidim, Yehudah Leib, Rav of Lipski, Poland."
Rav Yehudah Leib (Segal) av"d Lipsk, was the son of Rav Yitzchak Dovber. He learned chassidius from the Maggid Rav Yisrael of Kozhnitz and Rav Levi Yitzchak of Berditchov. He authored the Alufei Yehudah on the Torah and an additional work that wasn't printed.(Alfasi, chassidus, p. 245)
