Letter in Hungarian written by the author of Shu"t Nehari Afarsimon, Rav Yaakov Tannenbaum, av"d Putnok (Hungary). 1882.

Rabbi Yaakov Tannenbaum (1832 - 1897) was the son of Rabbi Zev Wolfe, Av Beis Din of Verpelet and author of Rechovos Hanahar among others. Rabbi Yaakov served as Av Beis Din first of Tallya, Mesocsat, and eventually of Putnok, where he remained until his death. He authored Responsa Nihari Afarsemon and Shemen Afarsemon on Torah.

He corresponded with the prominent talmidei chachamim of his generation regarding halacha and was in contact with chassidic leaders like Rav Chaim of Sanz, and his uncle Rav Shmuel Frankel of Darag. When asked by a grandson of the Gaon of Putnok, if he should name his son after his grandfather, the Mahara (Rav Aharon Rokeach) of Belz answered, "We don't name people after angels!"
