Autographed Letter Regarding the Size of a Halachic Shiur by Rabbi Avraham Chaim Naeh

Letter from Rabbi Avraham Chaim Naeh’s in which he clarifies his opinion regarding the halachic shiur (requisite size) of a mikveh and the size of an ama.
Double-sided typewritten letter autographed by Rabbi Chaim Naeh, along with the handwritten address of the addressee.

Renowned as Baal Hashiurim, Rabbi Avraham Chaim Naeh (1890-1954) published his opinions regarding the precise measurements and amounts of a halachic shiur relevant to current times in his famous sefer Shiurei Torah which had a great impact in the practice of performing mitzvos subjected to measurable quantities, i.e. Matza, Kiddush, Esrog, and many more.
Rav Chaim Naeh established what is known today as "Shiur Rav chaim Naeh" as opposed to the larger "Shiur Chazon Ish".
The Chazon Ish strongly refuted his opinions, maintaining that all shiurim were significantly larger than Rabbi Chaim Naeh professed; and this argument stimulated one of the great halachic debates of the twentieth century. It should be noted that despite their halachic difference of opinion regarding shiurim, the Chazon Ish greatly esteemed his contemporary, once mentioning, “I never had a baal pelugta except from Hagaon Harav Chaim Naeh, who is my baal pelugta.”
