Kabbalah. Rare. Sefer HaGilgulim. Zolkiew, 1774. Copy of kabbalist Rabbi Shaul Kassin. Sefer HaGilgulim – Kabbalah of the Arizal by Rabbi Chaim Vital. The title page bears the owner stamp of kabbalist Rabbi Shaul Kassin: קניתי זה לעבודת בוראי הצעיר שאול קצין ס”ט. One leaf bears a handwritten gloss by him. Along with stamps of his son, Rabbi Shlomo Kassin. Additional owner signatures on the title page and last leaf. Rabbi Shaul (Mautok) Kassn (1864-1917) was an Aleppo sage and kabbalist. He moved with his father to Chevron where he studied by Rabbi Eliyahu Mani. He later moved to Yerushalayim where he was a talmid in the Beis El yeshivah and then Rechovot HaNahar. His works include: Pri Tzaddik, Ziv Hazohar and more. (Refer to: Lekdoshim Asher Baartez , p 165-166). Rabbi Shlomo Katzin (1909-1983) was the author of Shu”t Kerem Shlomo and Divrei Shlomo. He served as a rabbi and dayan in various places in Eretz Yisroel and Egypt. For many years, he was a member of the rabbinical court in Tel Aviv. ***** Zolkiew, 1774. 4, 6-41, 43-44 leaves. 23 cm. The leaves have not been cut uniformly. Paper affixed to the back of the title page and other leaves. A few worming holes. Overall fine condition.
