Sofer Family – Wedding invitation. Paks, 1931 Invitation to wedding of Yaakov Doneitz of שטיינאמאנגער with Mirel bas Rabbi Yehudah Sofer av”d Arad, son of Rabbi Eliezer Zussman Sofer. On the side of the kallah is Rebbetzin Rechel Sofer, widow of Rabbi Yosef Leib Sofer, author of the Yalkut Yosef. The couple did not have children of their own, so they took in the orphans of Rabbi Avraham Sofer. After Rabbi Yosef Leib passed away, his widow Rechel continued raising and marrying off these orphans on her own. The wedding took place in Paks, Tammuz 1931. The chassan and kallah died in the Holocaust hy”d. 15x25 cm. Fine condition.
