Sofer Family. Letter written and signed by Rabbi Menachem Sofer hy”d, author of Shu”t Menachem Meishiv. [1935] Postcard written and signed by Rabbi Menachem Sofer. Rabbi Menachem Sofer hy”d (1880-1944) was the av”d of Marosvásárhely. He authored the Menachem Meishiv and was the son of Rabbi Yisroel Mordechai Fishel Sofer, the son of the Yalkut Eliezer, son-in-law of Rabbi Simchah Bunim Ehrenfeld, av”d Mattersdorf. He was the talmid of his grandfather, Rabbi Eliezer Zussman Sofer, uncle of Rabbi Yosef Leib Sofer, author of Shevet Sofer. He died in the Holocaust hy”d. 1935 11x15 cm. Fine condition.
