Sofer Family. Sefer HaMikneh of the Yalkut Eliezer – three sections. With Handwritten glosses. Sefer HaMikneh – large, comprehensive work regarding kinyanim and related issues by Rabbi Eliezer Zussman Sofer, av”d Pacs. Rabbi Eliezer Zussman Sofer, av”d Pacs, author of Yalkut Eliezer and other works (1825-1903) was a sacred tzaddik, a prominent Hungarian rabbi and talmid of the Chassam Sofer. He was born in Pressburg and was circumcised by the Chasam Sofer himself. He also studied by the Chasam Sofer when he was young, though most of his learning was by the Ksav Sofer and the Maharam Schick. He succeeded his father-in-law as av”d Pacs until his death in 1903. Three large sections bound together. The author's stamp on p. 7 of the second section. The pages of all three sections are adorned with handwritten glosses and chiddushim written soon after the work was printed. The glosses are slightly cropped in the margins. Section one: Pressburg[1877]. 16, [2], 274 pages. (Missing the title page and the following leaf. Section two : Pressburg, [1880]. 8, 148 pages. Section three: Pacs [1884]. 8, 250, [2] pages. Missing the last leaf (omissions). Other than the last few pages of section three, all in fine condition.
