European Rabbanim. Volume of handwritten chiddushei Torah by Rabbi Elimelech HaKohen Rubinstein, av”d Rachov. Full signature in the margins of one leaf: אלימלך הכהן רובינשטיין הרב מראחוב כעת בירושלים עיה”ק תובב”א (Elimelech HaKohen Rubinstein, Rav of Rachov, now in Yerushalayim). Hagaon Harav Elimelech Hakohein Rubinstein , Av Beis Din of Rachov (circa 1854-1942), was renowned as a great tzaddik and oved Hashem When he became bar mitzvah he married the daughter of Hagaon Harav Chaim Baruch Av Beis Din of Lentchna — author of the Birkas Chaim and one of the prime disciples of Rabbi Yechezkel of Kuzmir. In 1878, he was appointed Rav of Rachov, but in 1923 journeyed to the Holy Land where he was warmly received and honored by all the leaders of Yerushalayim who sought him out for wisdom, Torah and semichah. The famous kabbalist Harav Moshe Yair Weinstock was a particularly close follower, and together, they plumbed the depths of the Hidden Torah. Harav Chaim Baruch is renowned for his works including Binas Elimelech, Yad Elimelech, and Marpeh Lanefesh. 11 leaves with text on both sides (22 pages). Note! Very bad condition!!
