Rabbi Shalom Mordechai Azulai (initialed: שמא”י). * Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv (1910-2012) was dayan in the Beis Din Hagadol from 1951 until he resigned to protest the “brother and sister affair.” * Rabbi Eliezer Yehudah Waldenberg (19 16-2007), author of the Tzitz Eliezer, was one of the most important poskim of recent times, a member of the Beis Din Hagadol. He was renowned for his Tzitz Eliezer series of Shu”t. * Rabbi Shalom Mordechai Azulai (d. 1961) was Rabbi in Sefrou and Fez and rav”d of the Beis Din Hagadol in Yerushalayim.
