Talmud. Rare fragment. Leaf from Tractate Horiyos. 15th century, Spain. Leaf from Tractate Horiyos – Gemara and Rashi, written in Spain, 15th century. Leaf 2b-3a. Nice, organized Sephardic hand. Features a variation from the text in the Vilna print. The Vilna print primarily represents the French nusach, while this manuscript represents the Spanish nusach of the Talmud. Until the expulsion, in Spain Gemara was learned exclusively with Rashi (and not Tosfos). Leaf: 14x20 cm. Marginal tears reinforced and repaired with Japanese paper, without loss of text. Rare.
