Talmud. Omek Halachah – Amsterdam, 1710. Dozens of illustrations and sketches demonstrating serious sugyos. Sefer Omek Halachah – elucidations of profound sugyot in the Talmud regarding astronomy, trigonometry, math and measurements with dozens of illustrations and sketches, by Rabbi Yaakov ben Shmuel Bunim Koppelman. The author is described by the sages of his generation as the “Complete Divine sage”. He was born in 1555 and wrote Ohel Yaakov in 1583, a commentary on   Sefer HaIkrim . He published this work with the approbation of the Maharasha, the Levush and Rabbi Meshulem Feivish in 1598. His noted progeny include, Rabbi Yehonatan of ראזינאי, author of Yeshuah B’Yisrael . Amsterdam, 1710. [2], 36, [1] leaves. 19 cm. Leaves 1-4 were bound in the upside down (and also in reverse order 4-1). Nice binding, fine condition.
