Hymns for aliyot on Simchat Torah, written in India at the start of the 20th century. Complete manuscript. Nice, new leather binding.

These hymns were sung before each aliya on Simchat Torah, includes special songs for specific aliyot and for “Chatan Bereishit” and “Chatan Torah.”

Some of the hymns are extremely old and are found in the rare Aleppo machzor of Venice 1527.

With a few worming holes, also in the text. The first leaf features a title page with the title פזמונים לעולים שמחת התורה. Nice, new leather binding with matching slipcase.
